    Save the world and Slim down~*

    As we know...

    (ok applies to u if u don
    live in the moutains and got no access to world news)

    There is a terrible Decrease in Rice Supply around the Globe!!

    I find it this news very upsetting esp when I see people
    fighting and starving over rice issues.

    The price of Rice is "shooting" way high now!!
    And as you know, we are in Asia... Asians eat a lot of rice!!
    High demand and low supply!!

    Ok so this is a solution I think of...
    In order for everyone to have a fair share of rice,
    I decided to reduce my share of rice by half,
    from a bowl to half a bowl of rice.
    It might seem like a small difference but if you add them up,
    It's hell of a load!!

    Imagine, I save 1.5 bowl of rice a day,
    this can feed at least 1 person in the world for A Day!!
    If everyone do wat I do......
    Imagine the number of people we can share our rice with!!
    Everyone plays a great part in helping the world~*

    A part from that,
    We can go on a Low Carbohydrate Diet!!
    Slim down baby~* haha

    So nowadays, I'll cook less rice and
    when I eat out, I'll say "Uncle, less rice please..."

    Another Great way to Reduce our Intake of Rice,
    Is to eat Potatoes!!!
    Do you know that eating Potatoes is actually better than eating Rice?

    Potatoes are good for Low Carbohydrate Diet:
    Rice: Simple form of Carbohydrate
    Breaks down by the body easily and
    provide your body with a quick burst of energy,
    If the carbohydrates are not used quickly, the sugar will turn into fat.

    Potatoes: More complex Carbohydrate
    Takes longer time to break down.
    Allows the body more time to use the carbohydrates,
    Fewer of the carbs will turn into fat.
    And you stay full for a longer period of time


    Some Environmental Facts:
    Do you know it takes 1900 litres of water to grow 1kg of rice
    and only 500 litres of water to grow 1kg of potatoes.
    Thou 1kg of rice can feed 10 people and 1kg of potatoes only feed 5 people.
    But hey, growing Rice still needs more water. Do your math.

    eh... those r wheat flour, no?

    m a scorpion too. kinda impressed a bit by ur idea. however, i m only eating 1 serving of rice for another reason -- type II diabetes :)

    but really, 1 serving is enough for most ppl unless they are construction worker or mover...

    mmm... to make flour there r a couple of ingredients..
    one of them is rice..

    but ofcos it depends on wat kind of noodles or bread u r eating... some contains more, some less =D

    well... i think diabetes, u cant eat much bread either...

    Yes will reduce my rice intake as of now, to help save rice and to reduce my weight.

    nah... bread breaks down to glucose just slightly slower than rice... i m taking wholemeal bread and tat is a little bit better.

    besides eating less rice, u need to consume more vege as it fills up ur stomach and satisfies u. otherwise u will feel hungry n start eating more rice 2-3 days later :)
